Malcolm W - Went Down August 2, 2010 just West of Grand Junction

Malcolm W, from Kansas City, MO went down just west of Grand Junction.  He was riding through Grand Junction with a riding group on their way home.  No one knows for sure what happened except that he slumped over his bike and went down.  He has extreme spinal cord injuries.

His wife and son flew in from Kansas City.  They contacted Rider Down after seeing the Rider Down brochure at the hospital.  Since Malcom will probably be in St. Mary's Hospital for several weeks, the Rider Down Network obtained a vehicle for their use during his stay and a place for them to stay once they have to leave the St. Mary's Rose Hill motel.  Note: They can stay in Rose Hill as long as he is in ICU, afterwhich they will need to move.

Network volunteers picked up a daughter and other relatives from the airport upon their arrival.

The network also retrieved his bike from the tow yard and is currently storing it until other arrangements can be made.

There will probably be other needs, but at this time all their current/known needs have been met.

8/24/10 -- Malcolm W. was discharged and returned to his home area.  He will be in a rehab center for some time.

Thank God for the Rider Down Assistance Network, I saw first hand what this group did for one of our members. When they say they don't discriminate regardless of race, creed, or color, they truly mean that. This group is incredible, their assistance has made it easy for our brothers family to be with their husband and father. If there is anything we can do to assist this group we will. I notice they don't mention the name of biker clubs, or the full name of downed bikers. Their concern is honestly about helping the injured biker and there is no intrest in promoting any mc clubs regardless of their affiliation. I can't say enough about this outstanding group. God bless each and every member within the group.

I was eastbound on I-70 when my group and I came upon the Kansas BSMC riders East of Grand Junction. We stopped to lend assistance but everything was taken care of at that time. It is refreshing to know an organization such as Rider Down Assistance Network exists to help those of us who have unfortunate motorcycle accidents on our nation's highways. I will recommend my chapter support your organization and I personally thank you for the services you render.

We want to offer our personal thanks for the care and concern that you showed our family while in Colorado with Malcolm W. We are still singing your praise and sharing the vision that you have to help others. God has truly blessed the Rider Down Assistance Network with a mission and a true gift. We felt your sincerity and earnest prayers. You will always be remembered by our family as angels who were there when we needed them most. We will continue to lift your organization and your families in prayer.

I have been taking splenda for several months. Just lately I realized that the moles on arms and especially legs had increased.By a sudden impulse while visiting my doctor for something else I showed the increased moles to him on one leg. He pointed out that two of the moles did not look good, he sent one small part of one of them to the lab and it came back as pre- cancerous. Both moles have been removed since. No more splenda for me. ngftfd ngftfd - Mulberry Alexa Outlet.
